Toy Soldier Collector All The Queen's Men Closes Its Doors

All The Queen's Men Closes Its Doors

News item taken from 'Noticeboard'

Some very sad news this issue. Derek Cross, owner and founder, of All The Queens Men has decided to retire after 24 years of making toy soldiers for collectors. Derek, and the AQM brand name, have become synonymous around the world for producing museum-quality toy soldiers over the years, and the hobby will loose one its greats when Derek retires at the end of September. Unfortunately Derek’s partners in AQM have decided they don’t wish to continue with the business once he retires and so AQM will have ceased trading by the time you read this, and will have closed its doors at the end of September.

Pictured here is the last series produced by Derek and the AQM team. The series is titled, VBFG ‘Now Maitland! Now’s your time!’ Part two, ‘The Old Guard Attacks’, a nice short title! This particular range, along with part one, was commissioned by one of Derek’s overseas collectors.

Although Derek and the AQW business is ceasing trading from the end of September the good news is Derek has said he will still be involved in the hobby and that any toy soldier collector is welcome to come and view Derek’s personal collection, this is by appointment of course. If you’d like to drop by and see Derek and take a look at his extensive collection then contact him to make an appointment.
